I am the finance secretary of our church. Our account is with Citizens in Nanticoke, PA. It`s the worst bank I`ve ever dealt with. Today I waited 10 minutes and was the first to queue at 9:30. There were four people behind me. One cashier said they had staffing problems. The cashier who told us this counted the money and put it in the package. Is it more important than taking care of your customers???? There was another cashier going back and forth between an adjacent room. What she did was more important than taking care of the customers??? We wanted to update our signature cards and they made it difficult for me. In the end, our pastor went to the mountain top branch to complete this.
If it had been my account, I would have closed it. My church council members discussed going to another bank. This account was overdrawn, just found out, but they had known about it for weeks. I don`t know how to fix it and no one is anywhere in the banking country. The account only loses money because they won`t fix it or fix it. However, the hackers went ahead and left the 3 accounts in the negative. It indicates on the automated service “the most secure online banking”. What security is online and citizen bank if they allowed someone not only to empty my 3 accounts, but then to take money from YOU! Once this is finally resolved, I will leave the citizens and if you are reading this comment, I advise you to leave too! Bürgerbank, It seems that the update you made to your website has prevented all your members from accessing their credit and banking information. Could you solve this problem and give an explanation to your members? I have been trying to reach a customer service representative for 12 days. The website does not recognize my information and asks me to contact customer service. The chat option on your website is not enabled, there is no email option, your wait times are downright insulting. We have jobs. We can`t expect us to wait more than an hour every time we call.
And the holdback function does not work. What`s going on? I don`t know how this lack of service and oversite can continue. I even tried the phone number of the company`s head office listed above (401-456-7000), but it only separates in the middle of the ring. All of this is downright staggering. How can you run such a business? Is this company a sham? Citizens Bank purchased my HSBC chequing accounts and credit cards. Now I have the most miserable customer service experience of my life and I`m trying to access both accounts. I never received my new cards for both and now I have had to ask several times for them to be sent. I am abroad right now and I spent $100 to contact citizens by phone.
Finally, with the help of a representative, I managed to access my online account via chat today. However, I was dismayed when I realized that my credit card is not linked to my online account. The customer service representative told me to contact a “credit specialist” and gave me an 800 number. No chat available. I can`t spend more money to be put on hold trying to access an account with Citizens that I`ve NEVER requested. Now Citizens contacts me via email and tells me that I have a late payment on my credit card. I would love to pay if I actually had a card or account number online. This is getting ridiculous. I will not stay with this bank once all this is resolved. Please send me an email and tell me how I can get in touch with a “credit card specialist” in a way other than an expensive phone call.

Their solution was to make business checks appear personal. I can`t be the only person who does both business and personal checks at Citizens.
